Switzerland - ETH Zurich Postgraduate Fellowship


Scholarship for doctoral study in Switzerland is fully supported
Switzerland - ETH Zurich offers a full scholarship for international students from poor and developing countries to study in Switzerland
The grant is from E4D, which means engineering for development. ETH Zurich is a university specializing in engineering, technology, science and mathematics. Its headquarters are in Zurich
The Doctoral Fellowship Program encourages the development of products or methods directly related to improving the livelihoods of poor people in developing or transition countries. The grant amount is 175,000 Swiss francs to cover three years' salary costs.
Scholarship Level: PhD
Competence Required: All available competencies available at the University

Grant: Expenses of up to 175,000 Swiss francs over three years, divided into monthly student's salary and operating expenses

Place of study: Switzerland
Prerequisite: Experience in selected research is required.
    
Preference will be given to nationals from least developed and other low-income countries
     
The admin confirms his / her commitment to the project by e-mail
     
Research Project:
    
- The proposal is a new doctoral project, not for supplementary funding in ongoing research.
    
- The proposal is of high scientific quality.
    
- The subject of the research is innovative and relevant to development.
    
- The environmental, social, economic and cultural context is taken into account.
    
- The research project is realistic and reasonable results can be expected.
    
- The expected impact of research is high for the target group

 The scholarship is available to students from: all developing countries and includes most Arab countries

University Admission: Not required in advance

 Supporting Documents: A certified copy of the Master's degree
     Summary of the research proposal is not more than 3000 characters
     Full explanation of the project is not more than 15 pages
     CV CV
     Letter of motivation
     Detection of certified signs
     Letter of acceptance of supervision from one of the supervisors
     5 neutral reviews of the research project
     Letters of recommendation

 The first step :
The candidate submits his research proposal to the following e-mail:patricia.heuberger@sl.ethz.ch
. The deadline for submitting the notes is 31 March 2017.
The second step :Candidates who have been accepted by the selection committee will discuss the research proposal together with the professor who approved the project supervision. If the candidate and the professor do not know each other, a meeting should be set up to discuss the full proposalThis meeting is either face-to-face meeting or Skype meeting.The proposal was submitted to the ETH by the supervision professor.
